The MVHA Calendar and the Private Side of this website have been disabled for lack of a webmaster with the time to maintain them.  To get on our e-mail distribution list, and to receive a copy of the planned Field Trips and Events for for the school year, please contact Diane H. at (573) 764-5006.  Also, visit our YAHOO Group Page for more information.

Welcome to the Meramec Valley Homeschoolers Association (MVHA) website! Whether you are an MVHA member, a Bourbouse Area Families Educational Network (BAFEN) member or a curious visitor, we are glad that you have taken the time to stop by.

Perhaps you are:

  •   a new homeschooler wondering how to get started, or
  •   a homeschooler new to our state wondering about Missouri laws and  how to connect with other homeschoolers in your new neighborhood, or
  •  someone curious about why any one would even want  to homeschool their children and curious about what homeschooling is like, or
  •   a parent wondering if homeschooling might be right for you and your family.

Whatever the case, we hope to provide information & links to help you answer your questions. Please contact us for ideas on how to find any information that you could not find here.

Also, we welcome your input. Perhaps you have written, created or discovered an article or resource that would be helpful to other homeschoolers. Please let us know. If you have a link that might be helpful, please tell us about it.

I no longer provide my e-mail address on this site, because "web trawlers" used & abused it.  So, all remaining links to my e-mail address in this site will be non-functional.  However, please feel free to write or call with questions or ideas.

In the interest of space, I have sometimes abbreviated the word "homeschooler" as "HSer". Now, I hope that you will enjoy traveling around this site.

Happy clicking!
