How to install MLR:

MLR is contained on a CDROM, which includes a miniature version of Microsoft Access (Microsoft Access Runtime), an "executable" (the programing directions), and a data file (where all  your entries are stored).

When inserted into your CDROM player, MLR should begin to automatically install itself. The Setup Wizard will prompt you through installing the software. Just accepting the defaults will work for most people.

(However, if the setup program does not start automatically after you insert the CDROM [give it a while to see], then follow these steps to start it  manually.  Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).  It is listed under Start/Programs, with an icon of a magnifying glass above a folder.  Navigate to the CDROM player in the left hand column, click on it, and then double-click setup in the right hand pane.)

If asked, choose the "Typical" (not custom) installation. If your computer says that you must shut it down & restart it, don’t argue, just do it. But, be sure to close down any open applications first.

To create a shortcut on your desktop , if you want one, go to Start/Programs/Missouri LoggerRhythms” and right-click-and-drag “Missouri LoggerRhythms” to the desktop. Then choose “Create Shortcut Here” on the menu that pops up. You can drag the icon to place it anywhere you want on the desktop.
